Welcome to Corporate Venture in Brazil 2018

Hosted by:

hosted by

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency – Apex-Brasil – and Mawsonia, publisher of Global Corporate Venturing, announce the 4th edition of the event Corporate Venture in Brasil. Our goal is to present the Brazilian investment and entrepreneurial ecosystem to global and local corporate venturing units willing to approach, innovate and invest in the country. Since its first edition in 2015, more than 1000 people have attended the event, and hundreds of private meetings were facilitated by Apex-Brasil and ABVCAP (Brazilian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association).
In 2016, the first results took place, with new funds or commitments being announced. In 2017 and 2018 we have observed co-investments happening between local VCs and international CVCs. The innovation ecosystem has matured a lot, and as we register our three initial “Unicorns”, Brazilian VCs and CVCs are increasingly investing for a promising cycle of innovative companies.

In 2018, the event will take place from October 2 to 3, the private meetings agenda will happen in a separate day and venue, on October 1st (by invitation only). During the event we will present a mix of Corporate Venturing best practices from a local and international perspective, and insights of our most active VCs and CVCs on how they are investing and building companies for success. This year we want to share more about the Contech & Proptech scenarios, besides the Agritech and HealthTech scenes. During the program, between 10 and 20 companies are expected to present their solutions and investment opportunities.  We will deliver a pocket edition of Corporate Venture in Brasil dedicated to the O&G industry during the Rio Oil & Gas Exhibition, from September 24 to 27. For additional information about our events and general enquiries, please e-mail vcpe@apexbrasil.com.br
